I Have Wanted A Cat For Ages, But My Family Don’t…?

I used to have a cat and we had him for 14 years, he died about two years ago and we were all devastated. However, we are all over him now, and i want another cat, but my family say no. I have been saving up money for about a year now so that i could buy everything for the cat myself (bed, food, scratcher etc). But my parents won’t let me have a cat. The plan is that the cat would have it’s own room outside (a shed- but it’s big enough) and that we would put a cat flap in the door so that it could get into the garden whenever it pleased, because my mum said that she wouldn’t want a litter tray and there is no way we could have a cat flap in the conservatory door!! So that is why the cat would be in the shed if we were away in the day. Please help me – how do i get them to want a cat as much as i do???

Is Foam Board Insulation Strong Enough To Be Placed Over Floor Joists And Then Install A Floor Over It?

I am going to be building a 10×14 shed when it warms up a bit. I plan to use it as a shed to store my lawn tractor and garden tools but i can see a time in the future where i may want to use it as an escape (i am going to run power, tv and internet to it). I can insulate walls and ceiling later but the floor is something i think is a lot easier when you are building the shed. My first thought was to use fiberglass but i then thought about mice and potential for getting wet being so close to the ground. So i am now thinking about something waterproof which would be 4×8 sheets of foam board.
My current plan is to build the floor out of 2×6’s 16inches on center. I would then build the walls and put them up. Next comes the floor made from a 1inch foam board (laid directly on the floor joists) and then 1/2 inch plywood. This would bring the floor up to the same level as the 2×4 plate at the bottom of the wall so the floor would be level. The 2×4 would take the brunt of traffic thru the door and the floor would take load from the top.
Other option would be to first put down a sheet of plywood, then foam board, then another piece of plywood on top and then build up the door ways with 1x so the floor level matches.

the land where the tracks ran sits 10-15 feet above the rest of the ground and THAT’S where I want my home. will a mobile home fit on it? Is Anyone Else Super Exhausted After Last Night?

I know I am. Last night me and my girls scored big when we went looting. The only time we even got close to getting caught was when my friend sharonda got her new weave caught in some barbwire, and even though she had just got it done, we had to cut it to get her loose. In the long run, it wasnt a huge loss. We got 3 bikes, 2 riding lawn mowers, 4 lawn chairs, a mailbox, some garden sheers from this shed, and I even managed to score a huge bolt cutter which you know will come in handy in the future. We were planning on going out again tonight, but I am sore and tired from fence hopping and carrying things. I kind of want to stay in and look at all my new stuff. What are you all up to tonight?

Help In Buying A Bunny ….?

Now the weather has warmed up a little (I live in the U.K) Myself & partner have decided to get a bunny in thr next month or so.
We have a nice, clean, wooden shed that we will be keeping the hutch in. We have out lino on the shed floor already & are planning on leaving the hutch open in the day with shed door closed & having shavings & hay on the floor for the bunny to walk on, we also have a samll old radio we are planning on leaving on quiet!! (The shed has windows that we can open for air) so that the bunny can run round in the day (The shed being approx 10ft x 3ft) then of an afternoon when we return from work we have a average size garden that the bunny can be let out to graze for a short while. We have walked round out garden several times to make sure that it is “bunny proof” & there does not look like there is anywhere that he/she can escape too! – hopefully!!
My question is …… will the bunny be ok in the shed in the day time?
What shavings are best for the bunny? ie straw/hay/sawdust
Is there any toys we can out out for the bunny to play with? football plastic tubes etc – ones that will be safe!!
How much fruit/veg do we give the bunny (Bearing in mind this will be a baby & not full grown).
Any advantages to male/female? … we have no intention on breeding!!

Can I Have A Pool House Type Structure Built My Vacant Property And Live In It ?

I was looking up storage sheds and pool houses and got an idea. I have a property in a residential area. There is nothing built on it and most the other properties adjacent to it and in the area for blocks away are also not built.

Now I am planning having it built, then add electric to it and drywall and finish it. Inside, it is most likely going to look like a one room house. I am going to build a small wall for a very small bathroom with shower room. I am not sure how I waqnt to do plumbing yet.
I contacted the county. This is an unincorporated area in Florida. I was told that it the struture was not permanently atached, it could not be taxed. So I may have it build on a trailer and they skirt it.

we dont want anything fancy. but i want it intimate, fun and memorable. ive been busy checking Las Vegas Wedding websites. as much as i really want one over at Grand Canyon, most packages are expensive. i am also considering the Valley of Fire or Red Rock. or maybe Stratosphere. Sigh. can anybody give me advices on having the outdoor wedding versus the chapel, or garden venue. also, we r planning to stay at planet hollywood resort, is that okay? i got three of my friends coming. also, im so excited and nervous on planning this special event for us, can some shed more light on what stuff i SHOULD be aware of* (getting married, the wedding, some “must-know-hows”). pls reply ASAP. appreciate your help. thank you.

I Need Some Suggestions Please?

We’ve just bought our first house.. we’ve never really lived anywhere that we could garden or anything.. so Ive no idea where to start.. i have alot of questions and need alot of suggestions.. We live in western Oklahoma.. Theres a very large mimosa tree in front of our house, and a small garden area along the walk going to the house, which the previous owners filled with rocks.. But id like to put some plants in.. our back yard isn’t huge, but big enough, theres no trees or anything in it right now. theres a nice size Pergola sitting area, and a small barn looking tool shed. Theres not really any garden areas in the back just grass and weeds (goatheads bleh) I’d like to begin making plans for spring, so i don’t decide what plants i want when its already too late to plant them. Everything needs to be dog friendly since they will be spending the most time out there.

I own 5.5 acres of property in Florida, and want to build a large shed for storage on it. I don’t plan on living there although I do have a travel trailer on it. It is zoned agricultural. Someone has told me that as long as I have a few farm type animals on it, for example- goats, I can do it without a permit.

Planning Permission And Out Buildings?

I have a general query and hope someone can give me a rough answer. I have a Semi detached house that has not been extended in the past. There is a toilet and a brick building (shed) in the garden. The distance between the out building and main house is less than 3 meters (so within the permitted development scope)
My question is, would I need planning permission if want an extension of 3 meter depth with full width of the main house and then combine the outbuilding within the new extension. So an “L” shapes extension. The house is not in a conservation area.
I want to knock the old outbuildings down and rebuild. Would something like this be within the scope of permitted development and would be achievable without planning permission?
I know I would have to consult a planning advisor before I go ahead, but just want some information from someone with more knowledge of planning Laws.
