How Do I Wire A Small Garden Shed?

I am thinking of using a 30 amp breaker with 12/3 wire underground in PVC conduit and making an entrance into the building and put a couole of 15A breakers from the lights and power tools. I plan on running 2 fluorescent 8 foot lights, and a small 110v AC unit plus a few receptacles for power tools. Any suggestions from the electrical crowd?

if your running two circuits use at a minimum the same size neutral. you didn`t say how far or long you run will be putting in so you may need to use #10 with a #12 for your ground, also to be considered is if your using a double pole thirty amp breaker you can`t use #12, its only rated for 25 amps.
you should use 15 amp circuits for lighting and 20 amps for your utility circuits and a dedicated 20 for the a/c.
running the 220 circuit will also be helpful if you want to put in a compressor at some time
First, you should not use 12 wire protected by 30 amps. and second, use two 8’s a 10 ground, and at least a 10 neutral, with the two 8’s fused at 40 amps.
Supply to shed 30 amp mcb protected by an rcd,Cable to shed 6 or 10mm SWA, wylex 206 fuseboard in shed, 6 amp mcb for lights and16 amp mcb for sockets[RADIAL CIRCUIT] No need for pvc conduit.
