I’m planning in putting in a 10′x12′ wood storage shed. I plan on having it bricked in at a later time to save money. What should the foundation be for the shed initially and how much should each part cost (storage shed, bicked in (with labor), concrete slab (if needed)). The other option is to have a 10′x12′ building built instead. How much would that cost and which is easier to build and less costly.

In order to support the brick veneer later, you will need a ledge around the perimeter of the building. That means you should start with a concrete foundation that encorporates the ledge now.
Alot of this question depends on materiel cost in your area and labor in your area. Labor in NY or CA costs alot more than AZ ect, same thing for wood and brick. Having a foundation is best and concrete is best for that purpose. If you can’t build any of this yourself (which I always do) than I would say to have it built once instead of twice (replacing with brick later). A great middle ground that would last for many years is marine plywood, it is treated to withstand cold and water. It is also much stronger than regular plywood.
yes it needs to be on a foundation if you brick it otherwise it would be too heavy…cost about 3,600.00
