I Have Wanted A Cat For Ages, But My Family Don’t…?

I used to have a cat and we had him for 14 years, he died about two years ago and we were all devastated. However, we are all over him now, and i want another cat, but my family say no. I have been saving up money for about a year now so that i could buy everything for the cat myself (bed, food, scratcher etc). But my parents won’t let me have a cat. The plan is that the cat would have it’s own room outside (a shed- but it’s big enough) and that we would put a cat flap in the door so that it could get into the garden whenever it pleased, because my mum said that she wouldn’t want a litter tray and there is no way we could have a cat flap in the conservatory door!! So that is why the cat would be in the shed if we were away in the day. Please help me – how do i get them to want a cat as much as i do???

I think if your family is not in total agreement, it would be best for you to wait until you have your own place. And, when you are on your own your cat will be able to live inside with you.
    Good Luck!

Take them to a local animal shelter and show them all the homeless cats that would love to have a home and then remind them of the money that you have saved up to get one and how happy it would be to have a home…and remind them that you would take on the responsibility..

If you can’t have the cat live in the home with your family….as part of your family you should not have a cat – its not fair to the cat to live in a shed – regardless of the shed’s size.

Beg and say let me have it for 1-2 week and if you can’t take care or be there for its needs u will give it away or take it back!!
